Business Systems Analyst 1

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business as a remote position.

Under direct supervision, as the Business Systems Analyst you will be setting up studies and data integrations within sample tracking software systems and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. You will be training and assisting end users with system usage and performing system configuration and/or testing of configuration as directed.

What you’ll be doing:

• Creating clinical trial sample plans and related data for setting up studies for study subject sample and consent tracking within software systems, working with study documents, study teams, and other internal and external stakeholders to gather and synthesize the necessary information.
• Leading development of Data Transfer Specifications (DTSs), ensuring compliance to system and customer requirements.
• Configurating and testing of custom data loaders needed to enable data ingestion per DTSs.
• Performing data integration Quality Control checks to ensure data transfer compliance to DTSs.
• Performing Quality Control checks of study setup to ensure accurate reporting of client data.
• Assisting internal support and operational teams and external data providers in troubleshooting data ingestion errors.
• Supporting study teams and other end users with project updates and system training.
• Supporting internal stakeholders with project status updates and regular updates to project trackers and documentation.
• Assisting in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
• Analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary under direction of experienced Business System Analysts.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related domain.
• One (1) year experience in data or systems analysis required.
• Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed for this role:

• Knowledge of business-wide applications or IQVIA client facing applications and products.
• Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure of applications, systems, and processes to enable execution of user requirements.
• Familiarity or experience with laboratory work, study setup, clinical trials, clinical data management, and/or Software Development Lifecycle.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $57,000.00 - $85,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
