Senior Scientist, Reagents

We are seeking a Senior Scientist, Reagents to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Durham NC.

The Senior Scientist, Reagents will be responsible for serving as a technical specialist for laboratory operations, identifying and driving continuous process improvement initiatives. Specifically focusing on critical reagents for assays including bridging, usage, function, and inventory for cell based assays.

What you’ll be doing:

• Performing and documenting all analytical procedures with accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in accordance with current SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Leading routine quality investigations; assigning and completing CAPAs.
• Overseeing the technology transfer of methods from other groups within our organization.
• Identifying and leading continuous process improvement initiatives for laboratory operations.
• Producing analytical documentation across all service areas in the business.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree (some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require specific degrees).
• Typically requires >5 years’ experience in relevant discipline.
• 4 years of experience in a regulated laboratory.
• Sound knowledge of principles, theories, etc.
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. 
• Experience with Cell Based Assays, Ligand Binding

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

• Sound knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in job area.
• Knowledgeable across all assays within the scope of assigned technical area/dept.
• Working knowledge of applicable governing regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of applicable lab techniques.
• Proficiency with laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens including but not limited to averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $75,400.00 - $113,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
