Specimen Management Associate 2

We are seeking a Specimen Management Associate 2 to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business at Ithaca NY.

As a Specimen Management Associate 2, you will be integral in handling clinical specimens’ lifecycle, ensuring their integrity for testing and storage, and guiding our growing team towards excellence.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Accessioning, shipping, and storing clinical samples while resolving any issues to maintain sample integrity.
• Conducting freezer and inventory maintenance to ensure sample quality and availability.
• Identifying and escalating errors or potential problems to senior staff for prompt resolution.
• Training and guiding entry-level staff on department procedures and supporting their integration into the team.
• Responding to after-hour alarms and performing other critical job functions as needed.
• Handling receipt of compounds and control material, depending on the functional area.
• Upholding safety, quality, and 6S standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to maintain workflow efficiency.

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of related experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in internal systems and procedures with the ability to address routine challenges.
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed for This Role:

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant procedures.
• Competence in maintaining effective reporting procedures and controlling workflow.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain productive working relationships.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,100.00 - $68,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
